I loved it.
The FiM team is amazing, and I am consistently impressed with the work they do on each episode.
I marvel at the believability they breathe into the world and the characters. From the writing to the music to the animation. Each component is seriously and thoughtfully composed... The emotions of the characters feel genuine, and because the characters take themselves seriously, the viewers connect with them.
Cartoons/animations/comics have immense power... and it makes me so happy to see a cartoon that finally takes that power seriously. Most people dismiss the idea of cartoons being serious, and that is a tragic mistake... Cartoons are symbolic in their expression, and the more "simple" they are, the more symbolic they may become. My Little Pony is the perfect example of this. The designs are simple, but the symbolism is rich with meaning and substance (because the creators care). This is why it is a good show.

Bridgman's Complete Guide to Drawing from Life by George Bridgman
Even if you don't draw people, I still recommend this book... as it teaches "blocking-in"/gestures. Copy the drawings/sketches from the book to help yourself build good habits.
The Zen of Seeing by Frederick Franck
Learn to see and you will learn to draw—this book explains how to see (with a more subjective approach).

Season Wrap UpWell, season 2 has finally come to a close,  and I'm sitting here and looking back on it all, with a few thoughts I want to share.
I just want to say thank you (again) to everyone that watched and enjoyed the MLP season finale this weekend.  There were lots of hard nights and long hours from all of us on the DHX crew to make it the best would possibly could.  Of course, there are things that are always going to be imperfect, but overall from what I gather, it seemed well-received.
I was also shocked at how many people recognized my OC pony that made a small cameo in this weekend's episode.  As a blanket response to a lot of the same questions I've been getting all weekend: No, I did not voice her and I'm unsure as to who did.  I would assume just one of the regular VA's. Lol what do I win?The episode was good, but I do enjoy how Hasbro's plans backfired on them anyway.
They made the wedding episode to promote the new "Cadence" pony toys they wanted to bring out.
But since the episode aired, all people want to know is "Are you going to make a Chrysalis toy?"
Moral of the story Hasbro? Don't try and PREDICT what people will like or latch on to. Although I guess you're welcome to keep promoting the toys to little girls who don't have their own income and who aren't half as obsessed at the 20something market. I suppose your high-paid marketing execs know best.
In other news, I move out of my mom's house and into my own place on Wednesday. It is.... very stressful for me.

also althoug the CISPA may have passed congress we must remember that the ACTA passed all levels of government but beacuse of petitions and a global outcry the ACTA was reapealed.

I'm getting sick of these bills that we repeatedly repeal, and then they just completely ignore us and try to instate it again! Eventually, we're going to have to take a stronger stand against such bills than just protesting and repealing, simply because it's a rule of discipline. When someone does not get the message, in this case that infringing on our right to privacy is not acceptable, and after repeatedly being informed and denied, and they still attempt to do it again, obviously what we're doing is not working. I feel that we need to call for laws that institute punishments for attempts to infringe on our rights. Such punishments would involve stripping senators or whatever the government official's position is of said position and booting them out of government, or for more severe infringements on our rights, time in jail. Because no matter how many times we tell them, they JUST DON'T GET IT! Actually, such laws may already exist, and we just need to enforce them. We need to go all the way, and convict them for the crimes they commit, not just say "oh, you bad person, no we will not let you, at least until we get sick of you asking and give in." That's how children become spoiled, they don't have clear and enforced punishments for doing things they have been told is wrong, and that is what has happened with our governments, they are SPOILED CHILDREN WHO NEED TO BE DISCIPLINED! We, the people, need to bring our governments to task and enforce the laws we all agree are necessary for a free and prosperous society. If we fail to do so, the governments will fail, and without government, we the people will be living without rule of law. Life WROL is dangerous and not a condition we want to live in.

The influence of corporate lobbyists and special interest groups has gotten completely out of hand. If we are to make any progress ANYWHERE else in the government, we need to clean up first.
Vote out the leaders who are misrepresenting the people, and vote in ones that will actually work for the people.

They will NEVER stop trying to pass things like this. And you can bet if they can't pass it now, they'll stick it in with some other bill and pass it during an emergency/crisis (like the PATRIOT act)... or when no one is paying attention.}
