DISCLAIMER:

My ideas for the alicorns are probably different from most people's... A lot in the fandom view them as gods/goddesses.
I do not.

Instead, I see them as an ancient ascended race. By "ascended" I basically mean that they're "enlightened". (If you watch Stargate, then yeah, a lot like their Ancients). And they are not immortal, they simply reach a point and stop aging ("Man From Earth" concept, because I'm in love with that movie). Earth, pegasi, and unicorn ponies are descendants of the alicorns...

That's just my idea, and it's the idea that this comic is referencing.

Alicorns as a race.....Could I possibly borrow that Idea? I've never liked the whole, god/goddess pony idea either. Also, this comic is awesome.
